Injectable Treatment for Clenching, Headaches, and Facial Rejuvenation
Dr. Brobst is a graduate of the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics & Therapeutics, a leading anatomy-based training organization recognized for its high standards in safety, science, and patient care. This advanced training places him among the most skilled botulinum toxin and facial rejuvenation providers worldwide. If you’re curious about how botulinum toxin can improve comfort, confidence, or both, we’re here to guide you.

What It Does?
Botulinum Toxin products are “neuromodulators” or naturally occurring purified proteins that can temporarily affect muscle activity. When administered to specific areas of the muscle, they relax the muscle. The result can be both therapeutic (e.g. by relaxing overactive muscles involved in clenching or grinding) and esthetic (by reducing fine lines and improving the texture of the skin).
What To Expect?
Dr. Brobst will meet with you for a consultation to discuss your treatment goals and how botulinum toxin may benefit you. A series of photographs will be taken as a reference for your progress throughout treatment. Specific points will be mapped out on the treated area (face), and the product is then gently injected. Ample time will be provided to answer any questions and develop a customized treatment plan. Dr. Brobst typically sees you for a follow-up appointment 2 weeks after treatment. It is important to note that your skin will be cleansed in the treatment areas before the product is applied, so please wear minimal makeup.

FAQs
Q: When will I notice results?
Full results will be expressed in 2 weeks; however, most patients notice a difference within the first 3-4 days following treatment.
Q: How long do results last?
Results typically last between 3 and 4 months, but can vary depending on the person. To maintain results, it is advisable to have treatment before the product is fully worn off, which means 3-4 times/year.
Q: Will my insurance cover it?
As with any other procedure in our dental practice, it depends on your specific insurance plan. Concept Dental does not direct bill your insurance provider for neurotoxin treatment; however, we can provide you with a claim form to seek coverage yourself.
Q: Are there any risks?
Most risks are minor and temporary. These include redness and soreness at the injection site, minor swelling or bruising at the injection site, headache and, less commonly, temporary drooping of the eyelid.
Q: Is there any “downtime” needed after the procedure?
It is advised to avoid laying down or applying pressure to the treatment area for at least 4 hours following administration. You should also avoid excessive sweating for 24 hours following administration. This is to minimize the product spreading to non-intended areas.
